Heat protectant
A heat protectant is a product applied before hot tools that coats the hair to reduce heat damage. It does not make high heat harmless, so keep temperatures moderate and use it whenever you use a blow-dryer, curling iron or straightener. It is a sensible habit for any hair type, and a small amount is enough. It pairs with a diffuser or round brush when you want extra lift.
