Razor cut
A razor cut is a cut made with a razor rather than scissors, producing softer, tapered ends with a slightly broken edge. It is used for texture in a shag but is not suited to every hair type, and a stylist will judge whether your hair can take it. Over-thinning can leave hair frizzy, particularly curly or wavy patterns. If you are unsure, ask your stylist how they plan to texture the ends.
